MANURSURO

TEACHER

MANURSURO (noun) ma/nur/su/ro

a person who help others to acquire knowledge, competences or values

When in an academic pursuit that targets an international range, it requires a physique of one person with the soul of millions of your countrymen. This is my dream of becoming a noble Manursuro.

Good things must come to an end but great memories won’t.

Once the eagle has finally soared his destination and completed its journey, it must come to lower grounds and return home.

This is been a life changing experience that I will surely never forget. Days may pass but the teachings and experiences I had in this SEA Teacher Project will never fade in the deepest veins of my heart.

I have people embedded in my mind and deeply engraved in my heart.

To my students, thank you for being one of my greatest source of power and determination. You seriously made my dream stronger and made me love my work even more. Your smiles and laughter will always linger into my memories as they will symbolize how a big change I can be for the community.

To my coordinators and supervisors, thank you or your patience and understanding. We might not be the perfect student teachers but you surely found and brought out the great things in us. We became tougher and more of a teacher because of your first hand words of wisdom. You are our second parents and you made the school our second home.

To our buddies, you made me feel special and I’ll always feel grateful for that. Because of you, I smiled every single day and I wouldn’t change anything we shared because those moments were mostly special because of our unfiltered personalities. You are my rock. Thank you and see you all soon.

Lastly, to my family - I just want to say I LOVE YOU and THIS FIGHT IS FOR YOU.

In this connection, it is my great relief and honor to say, I am now home... THE EAGLE HAS LANDED.

We were surprised by our Coordinators that we were going to Jogja and it has been one of my breath taking experiences so far.

We visited ancient temple called Candi Sambisari and went to Marlioboro where we bought most of our souvenirs and an uphill forest which greatly resembles a place in the Philippines called Baguio. We had this trip on February 12, 2019. We also visited a Palace where it displayed different things that a royal owned.

We alongside with our buddies and Ibu Lusi went to a trip outside the city to Trinil Museum which displays the early javanese living and the fossils preserved of different species and Fort Van den Bosch which became the camp of the dutch during their colonization in Indonesia.

Lastly we ate at a Indonesian food restaurant and went back to the dorm to rest.
